The Maker's Diet Challenge: Phase 2 & 3

OMG, I ONLY HAVE TWO WEEKS LEFT!

I CAN DO THIS.

Retracing back to my last three weeks of this challenge, I was able to open up to more favorites like chicken quesadilla with a Greek salad, medium-well steak and eggs, halibut with greens, and even eggs Benedict with salmon from Vivian’s Cafe in Studio City, CA!

To the far right there is my Crowned For Success Sister @crowned4success, Maria Lupita @themanzoprint. As routine as this challenge came to be at about the third and fourth week, the easier it seemed. Keep in mind that I always prayed for healing every morning and every night and over every meal for God to bless it in Jesus’ name. I remembered to do this, especially, because I felt like I slipped more than a few times...

You might think, “Well, Steph, I don’t know, that still looks somewhat healthy...” but check this one out -

By the end of the week, I always made sure to fast at least one meal with straight raw carrot juice.

Thought you might appreciate that. Even though I was living some what “freely” in my diet toward the last week, I still felt the pressure. I went in for my examination to see if there have been any improvements after the 40 Day Maker’s Diet challenge.

One week later my gynecologist, Dr. Bali, calls me... my heart drops... “Well, there’s good news. you no longer have infected cells. Only a small trace of HPV left. So, keep doing what you’re doing and come back in 12 months and hopefully by then it’s completely gone.” He had that underlying joy that doctors have when they discover something “impossible”.

The fact that he said there is ONLY a SMALL trace left told me that the diet ACTUALLY reduced MOST of the HPV cells AND the ENTIRE infection.

Why am I so open about this? Because statistics read that 1/3 people in the entire world are HPV+. So, odds are you too, can benefit from this Maker’s Diet Challenge, BEFORE you reach infection and become cancerous. If you’re already there, you have hope of ridding the damn thing, completely!

Now, everything I shared with you is my own personal experience. You will have your own as well, so use your discretion and go by The Maker’s Diet book, please. I would love to hear your story.

Next year, I’ll go back to gynecology and retest with my annual pap smear in August of 2019. Looks like it’s celibacy for me, my sweet. Don’t want to risk anything. Plus, for a single mom of one, like me, I don’t need to be a single mom of two or three for that matter. If I knew then what I knew now, I would’ve waited for the right man.

So, get your healing on! I’ll be sharing some recipes and things later throughout my journey and until next year’s results.

Happy healing,

The Maker's Diet Challenge: Phase 2 - Week 1

This is not easy.

But it does get better...

A productive schedule makes it challenging to keep up with what I can or can not eat, so most of the time, I keep the book with me. I can eat apples, pineapple, passion fruit, and grapes now, with a few more listed. Still no wheat or starchy carbs or alcoholic beverages.

Thankfully, I can eat all the grass-fed and wild caught meat I want. Here's what this past week looked like...

BREAKFAST

EGGED UP TURKEY

EGGED UP TURKEY

CAN'T GO WRONG:

  • Brown Omega-3 Eggs
  • Cilantro seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic)
  • Turkey Summer Sausage (Trader Joe's)
  • Double Roasted Salsa

I love eggs and breakfast is my favorite, so I can mix it up with different kinds of meat, compatible with The Maker's Diet. This one never fails. But, if I'm in a hurry...

STARBUCKS PROTEIN BOX - Egg & Cheese, w/ Apples and Grapes

STARBUCKS PROTEIN BOX - Egg & Cheese, w/ Apples and Grapes

Starbucks is awesome for having this available. I can eat cow-milk based cheeses now, but it's tricky with commercial cheeses. I also ate the multi-grain bread... but if you can resist, then don't eat it. I stay accountable for my slip ups by fasting the next meal with raw juice cleansing.

CUP OF HEALING

CUP OF HEALING

With this, I juice a blend of organic carrots, celery, and cucumber...sometimes just the carrot for a finer cleanse. The celery ensures I get some more green vegetable in my diet and the cucumber quenches my thirst.

If I'm not having to fast a meal, this is my typical -

LUNCH OUT

If it's not that it's this...

DELICIOUSLY FILLING:

  • NO Rice

  • Extra Veggies (steamed)

  • Extra Side of Garlic Butter Sauce (includes 1)

Dinner anyone?

NUTRITIOUSLY YUMMIE:

  • Organic Avocado
  • Tuna Salad: Organic Mayo, Plum Tomatoes, Goat Cheddar, Greek Goddess Salad Dressing, Cilantro, Lemon (squeezed), Salt & Pepper, Garlic powder
  • Organic Blueberries
  • Jackson's Honest Sweet Potato Chips (Made w/ Coconut Oil)

Super tasteful - one of my favorite plates so far and it's safe to say that I can "legally" eat sweet potatoes now.

You're not alone...

Yea, fighting against cancer is no joke, but I wanted to share this journey with you so that you wouldn't have to suffer alone and maybe even avoid having to suffer. It can be fun, but perspective is everything and it's really how we think about it.

This practice improves my self-discipline, which motivates me to take on bigger things in life that are more daring than the typical "American Dream". It's helped build my confidence knowing that I respect myself enough to even give this challenge a go. There have been times I wanted to give up and just not care, but the truth is, what I put into it is what I'll get out of it.

Faith and action makes things happen and I have the faith... so, I want to take action and be healed. Life is really meant to be a gift and unfortunately, I took my health for granted. But, I feel like I'm a better person because this situation forced me to realign my values and re-prioritize the things that truly matter to me, like healthy relationships with friends, family, and colleagues.

This might sound absurd, but I actually have come to love and appreciate my life more than I ever have before.

Phase two, week two, here we go...
